Growing a Forest at the Heart of Wellington involves volunteers from schools, communities and corporations in the planting of 65,000 native trees in the central Wellington Town Belt. The aim of this project is to create a greener healthier environment within the city and to show-case to the nation how humans and nature can thrive in the same place.

We provide: an experienced team leader, tools, gloves, health and safety management, morning tea and refreshments.

What to wear/bring: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, a hat/beanie, waterproof jacket and a re-useable water bottle.

So get outside this winter and get involved in your local community. This project is in partnership with Rotary Club of Wellington and Wellington City Council. Supported by MPI Billion Trees Fund.
