CVA has partnered with Groundswell to complete a large-scale planting of Top Paddock Creek Reserve. You'll get the chance to follow the wetland from it simply being water to the final product with 29,000 plants being planted over 5 weeks.
This planting will dramatically improve the ecological condtion of Top Paddock Creek Reserve and be a sancutary for native fish, birds and mammals. The plants will act as a buffer for any run off and filter the water entering the creek near by. The planting is of indigenous grasses and water species, as well as some native canopy species. Also, there will be submergent species planting so make sure you wear your gumboots!
Remember to wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, gumboots, a hat, sunglasses and please bring your lunch and plenty of water. If you would like some more information, please send us an email at mpaganini@cva.org.au
