Come join Conservation Volunteers in assiting with the protection of many different environments around the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula.
Partnering with the City of Greater Geelong you will undertake many programs to manage and protect biodiversity in our local coastlines, waterways, wetlands, bush and native grasslands.
These areas around the peninsula all provide important habitat to native plants and animals and are places of rich biodiversity.
Land use impacts have significantly reduced the biodiversity that existed before European settlement. Conserving our natural environments and reversing past damage is essential for a healthy and sustainable future.
Examples of some the reserves our activities will take place are: Buckley Park, Seaview Park, Kingston Park, Point Richards, Redgum Island and many more around the peninsula.
Activities include weed removal, tree planting, track maintenance, flora and fauna surveys and rubbsh collection.
Come make a difference and give back to your local community. This project will be running on Wednesdays and Thursdays every week.
We will provide transport from South Geelong, departing at 8.00am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
