Join us in celebrating wonderful wetlands at the Baringa Community Centre on Saturday 29thto celebrate World Wetland Day! Wetlands are incredible ecosystems important for countless reasons including providing clean water, water supply, storm protection, carbon storage, health and well-being, tourism and recreation and jobs.
There’ll be multiple activities on the day with Conservation Volunteers planting in the nearby wetland area. Therefore you’ll be celebrating wetlands and increasing their ecosystem resilience. Gloves, plants, tools provided but please just bring suitable outdoor clothes and footwear. The planting will begin at 8:30am and proceedings should finish around 12pm.
Conservation Volunteers would like to acknowledge partners and supports Stockland Aura, Baringa community centre, Healthy land and water and Evolve environment solutions.
