Despite being a predominantly urban area, 10% of the City of Boroondara is open space - reserves, parks, gardens, ovals and bushland. There are significant biodiversity corridors and areas, including the Yarra River, Gardiners Creek, Koonung Creek and Beckett Park. The City of Boroondara is also home to the Maranoa Gardens - a botanical wonderland that displays many native Australian plants for the public to learn about.
Your help is needed to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of these areas. Activities may include debris removal, weed control and revegetation works.
