Join us at Castlereagh General Cemetery Reserve and take action to directly support threatened species in Western Sydney! Get involved in a fun day of practical conservation activities, a guided tour with industry experts and enjoy a free BBQ.
8:30am Optional pickup from Penrith Station North (opposite multi-story carpark)
8:55am Meet at Castlereagh General Cemetery and Reserve & Morning tea
9.00am Event Commencement with speakers from Conservation Volunteers, Office of Environment and Heritage, Local Land Services, Western Sydney University, Penrith City Council and local Ecologists.
9:45am Guided tour of the reserve, highlighting local threatened plant and animal species.
11:00am Practical conservation works to rehabilitate Cumberland Plain Woodland
12:30pm Complimentary BBQ (vegetarian friendly), provided by CVA
1:15pm Practical conservation works to rehabilitate Cumberland Plain Woodland
2:30pm Event Finish, return transport to Penrith Station departs
