Barwon Heads Village Park is a diverse recreational space with sporting ovals, an adventure playground, BBQs and amenties, as well as a fantastic walking and bike track through the moonah tree forest.
Moonah Woodlands support many animals, including the Long-nosed Bandicoot, Southern Forest Bat, Black Wallaby and Southern Grass Skink however it is unclear how many mammals still inhabit these places. Many birds, insects and local orchids also call these environments home.
To look after Moonah woodlands it is vital to minimise trampling, unplanned tracks and to encourage revegetation.
We will provide transport from South Geelong each day, departing at 8.00am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
