Ballina Coastal Crown Reserve contains a mosaic of valuable remnant native vegetation communities including subtropical rainforest, swamp sclerophyll forest, swamp oak forest, mangrove forest and coastal saltmarsh. It provides natural habitat for native fauna species in the region. It is home to the vulnerable Grey-headed Flying Fox, Sugar Glider, and many other native species. This area was affected by serious environmental degradation, but previous work has seen some amazing improvements and we are continuing with our goal to make it an incredible place to be for the local community, recreation, education, wildlife and conservation awareness.

Not only will you be helping to save and enhance this unique reserve, you will be doing so in a stunning location in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia. No prior experience is needed, just your willingness to use some elbow grease, meet some great new people and help improve an important part of the NSW Far North Coast for future generations.
