CVNZ is excited to announce a 10 year commitment to Atiu Creek Regional Park, a spectacular site overlooking the northern Kaipara Harbour. In collaboration with Auckland Council we’ll be managing the restoration of key areas within the park, and welcome volunteers to join us, experience nature at its best and share in this exciting new venture.
Surrounded by beautiful native forest, wetlands, streams and heritage sites, Atiu Creek presents opportunities for volunteers to get involved in conservation tasks including planting, weeding and mulching around native trees, removing invasive pest plants, fence removal and repairs, seed collection, plant propagation and creating walking tracks. The team will be staying in a cottage located on the Park.
