Come and celebrate World Wildlife Day with Conservation Volunteers and the City of Mt Gambier Council at the Valley Lake Conservation Park. Raise awareness of endangered fauna and flora in our region and help us care for the conservation park refuge.
‘Listen to the young voices’ - Almost a quarter of the world’s population is aged between 10 and 24, and as the future leaders and decision makers of the world, vital efforts need to be made to inspire young people to act to protect endangered wildlife. Youth can make a difference and we’re already seeing positive impacts of youth engagement in conservation.
Conservation Volunteers encourages our local community to rally together this WWD and join us at the Valley Lake CP whilst we undertake crucial habitat restoration for endangered Australian mammals and birds. Support the significant site, and raise awareness about endangered species and garden weed escapes, by being involved in the caring of the Conservation Park and Crater Lake Mountain trails. Free BBQ lunch.
