Join us at Sydney Olympic Park for our World Environment Day Tree Planting Challenge! An area rich in biodiversity, the park is home to over 400 native plant species, 3 endangered ecological communities, and over 200 native animals including a resident pair of White-bellied Sea-Eagles, the endangered Green and Golden Bell Frog, and Australia’s only species of microbat that catches small fish and aquatic insects from waterways.

This array of life is made possible by the diverse habitats that comprise 300 hectares of the Park. Sydney Olympic Park has the largest remaining stand of Grey Mangrove and Coastal Saltmarsh in the Parramatta River estuary, a significant remnant of Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest, extensive freshwater wetland habitat, planted woodlands and grasslands on reconstructed landscapes.
