In preparation for our new and exciting One Reef Project, we will be undertaking various seed collecting and nursery tasks. Volunteers will be helping undertake duties such as seed propagation, planting, weeding and washing of pot plants will occur within a local nursery based in Kuranda.
Ater spending the morning in the nursery, we will head out for the afternoon on errands around local reserves and parks collecting seeds. Explore the natural beauty of our local region and learn how to prepare seed for growing local native species.
The seedlings borne from these efforts will then be planted on our project site at Palm Creek at later dates.
