This is an Opportunity to positively impact the health of the Great Barrier Reef. In partnership with Greening Australia, and the Australian Government, Conservation Volunteers Australia will be undertaking revegetation activities at Palm Creek. We will be collecting seed, planting trees and removing weeds in an effort to improve water quality entering the Great Barrier Reef. Addittional activities may include water quality monitoring, marine debris clean ups and surveys, fencing and experimental wetland restoration methods.
The Ingham area remains relatively undiscovered by tourism despite the tropical riches it has to offer, from ancient cultures and rainforests to stunning beaches and coral reefs. With its warm weather and unique wildlife, the region is an ideal destination for anyone who wants to volunteer in beautiful habitats away from hordes of holidaymakers.
