Old hidden Vale is a large site which forms a great natural habitat for Koalas, Gliders, Quolls and many, many birds. Unfortunately, a large Lantana infestation is reducing the available habitat for these species. Lantana is threatening to Koalas, Gliders and Quolls as it reduces their ability to move around in their habitat and increases the chance that they will be preyed upon by introduced species, such as feral cats.
Conservation Volunteers needs your help to remove the Lantana on the site to allow for the planting of native trees next year. We can teach you how to identify invasive plant species (focusing on Lantana) and teach you simple removal techniques. No prior skills or knowledge is required!
