It's National Eucalypt Day! Did you know there are over 700 kinds of eucalypt? And most of them are in Australia. Come along to Plough and Harrow and join us on a guided walk to learn about the eucalypt species that live in Western Sydney. We'll also plant a eucalypt forest!

Western Sydney Parklands has been subjected to various impacts over the years including clearing, farming, dumping and severe weed invasion. To help alleviate some of these impacts, work will focus on tree planting and the control of noxious and environmental weeds throughout the site. This project is significant in its protection of Cumberland Plain Woodland as it is estimated that there is less than 6% of this vegetation community left.

Please wear sturdy boots, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt. A hat, sunscreen, and water are a must.

If for any reason you can not make it on the day or if you are going to be late or can not find the meeting point, please contact the Team Leader, Tom on 0438 233 389. If you need any more information please email westernsydney@conservationvolunteers.com.au or give the Western Sydney office a call on 02 4721 4625.
