Miena Park is on the banks of Pittwater Orielton Lagoon which is distinguished as a Ramsar Wetland because of the importance it plays for local and migratory bird species. This project is focused around improving the health of this important wetland while enhancing the aesthetics of the area. Activities of this long term project include; native tree planting to reduce excess run off, invasive weed removal, mulching, track work and flora and fauna surveying. A great opportunity to protect this really special and spectacular wetland, while spotting some birds.
