A taste of conservation at Wrights Creek with the Trinity Inlet Catchment Management Association is an exciting opportunity to try out four different conservation activites while also contributing to a project which is improving water quality for the Great Barrier Reef!
Come and help us help the Trinity Inlet Catchment Management Association to plant trees pull out weeds along the banks of Wrights Creek. This important project will help contribute to the health of the Great Barrier Reef by stabilising the creek bank of a major creek that drains in to Trinity Inlet - the main port of Cairns. The Trinity Inlet Catchment Management Association has a native tree nursery where you will help to take care of some of the plants which are growing there. You will also get to collect local native seeds from the rainforest which will be grown in the nursery. By the end of the two days you really will have has a taste of conservation from the four activities you will be trying out - planting trees, pulling weeds, collecting seeds, and leanding a hand in the nursery!
