Come and tackle weeds within a privately owned nursery nestled in the Wet Tropics forests on the outer edges of Lake Barrine in the World Heritage Crater Lakes National Park in the Atherton Tablelands.
The nursery is situated on a Nature Refuge which has seen many previous projects of ours involving tree plantings to help create corridors and habitat for threatened species of the area, including the Cassowary and the Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo. It is also home to platypus, various frogs and musky rat kangaroos. If you’re lucky and you get to do some rehabilitation activities within the heart of the reserve, you will get to see some of the native wildlife!
Accommodation for this one-nighter will be on a lovely, comfortable guest house situated on the property, courtesy of the property owner.
Stay tuned for more information on plantings within the Atherton Tablelands Area!
