The Torrens Linear Park was completed in 1997 and was the largest, and first of its kind, hills-to-coast park to be developed in Australia. It began as a flood mitigation scheme, however cyclists and walkers now enjoy the 30km trail that runs the length of the park from Gorge Road in Athelstone to the river mouth at Henley Beach.

Come and join our volunteers at the ‘beginning’ of this lovely park at the base of Black Hill to assist with site management activities, including minimal impact weeding and mulching among the native vegetation.
