De Moleyns Lagoon is the perfect setting for participants to gain a range of skills and knowledge relating to the conservation and natural resource management industry.
Volunteers will get to experience different survey techniques relating to habitat health and system ecology, and also assist with pest management.
Join us along with Birdlife Australia and Mackay Regional Council as we undertake some bird watching, weed mapping, water quality workshops and animal sand trapping.
It will be an exciting and interesting day out!

Conservation Volunteers Australia is Australasia's leading conservation volunteer organisation, founded in 1982. We offer conservation programs across Australia which enable volunteers to protect, preserve and restore the Australian environment. Projects take place in urban, regional and remote areas, and include tree planting, seed collection, weed control, flora and fauna surveys, building tracks and trails, fencing, and heritage restoration.
