Join our team for a day trip to Maranoa Gardens and learn about Australia’s native plants and animals from the local ranger while getting your hands dirty to help protect it.

Maranoa Gardens, located adjacent to Beckett Park was designed as a botanical display of Australian plants, exhibiting plants in a range of habitat styles to demonstrate the flora of Melbourne and other regions.

The garden is also highly focused on its environmentally sustainable landscape practices and that’s why we would love to have your help for the day.

Your assistance in restoring board walks and a bridge within the garden for visitors will not only help prevent the disruption of the native vegetation and its ecosystem but also ensure we provide great experience and educational opportunities for visitors. If we have extra time, we may also help spread mulch around the garden, create garden bed and hand weeding, all to improve water retention in soil and enhance the opportunity for biodiversity.

We will provide transport from our Melbourne office (162 Adderley St West Melbourne) each day, departing at 8am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.

What to wear:

• Long pants and long sleeved shirt
• Sturdy, enclosed shoes- we recommend strong working boots or hiking boots

What to bring:

• Lunch and bottle of water
• Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)

What is provided:

• Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
• Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
• Pick up and drop off as detailed above
