Mt Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve is a favourite feeding ground for some of the most beautiful Australian wildlife- eastern grey kangaroos, swap wallabies, short beaked echidnas and the common wombat.
The areas surrounding the reserve also has the second highest population of forest owls in Victoria, including the powerful, masked, and sooty owls.
We need your help to remove environmental weed species to protect the precious habitat for these animals. Weeds can grow and seed quickly, displacing slower growing local plant species and their associated wildlife.
Pink Berry Heath, one of the serious weeds in Cardinia Shire and on Mount Cannibal establishes itself so quickly that very little native vegetation can survive and the wildlife eventually lose their habitat.
Come and join us for a day and explore the beautiful nature of Mt Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve.
