There are many remnant vegetation reserves in the Adelaide Hills which provide important habitat for native fauna such as birds and koalas. CVA teams assist Council staff with maintenance of these reserves with tasks such as planting and removing invasive weeds.
Over the next few weeks teams will be working on several sites carrying out weed control and track maintenance, locations ranging from Kersbrook to Stirling. While often focussed around the many walking trails throughout the region this is still vital work as by keeping the trails usable this will minimise 'trail blazing' where people start to create their own trails through the bush, damaging fragile native plants in the process.
Come and enjoy visiting some lovely hills locations for a day while helping preserve our remnant habitats.

May 3 & 4 - Heathfield (waste Facility) adjacent reserve.
