This project will include some 'hard yakka' and also some relaxing beach walking.
One of the sites this week was previously cleared, and CVA has been working hard to revegetate the site to provide native wildlife with a space of refuge as well as work as a buffer between local residents and the nearby Coal Terminal.
Views of 2km of beautiful beach and some of the Whitsunday Islands, while working along this turtle-nesting beach, are part of the pleasure of participating on this project. Volunteers will be participating in marine debris surveys, clearing rubbish from scenic Salonika Beach.
Conservation Volunteers Australia are looking for people passionate about making a difference in the environment and able to lend a hand as we rehabilitate these beautiful areas.
Hope to see you there!
