Join us as we help Parks Victoria and their Friends Groups to protect the parks and reserves of the Bellarine Peninsula through activities such as weed removal, controlling overgrown vegetation, improving walking tracks and visitor access, and more.
Volunteer teams will go to either Ocean Grove Nature Reserve or Edwards Point Flora and Fauna Reserve where locally endangered plants and animals remain on the Bellarine. Volunteer assistance will allow a wider range of plants and animals to flourish, as well as improve the visitor experience to the parks.
We will provide transport from South Geelong, departing at 8.15am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
Volunteers need to bring their lunch and a bottle of water, as well as wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and boots or sturdy shoes. It is also recommended that volunteers bring and use a broad-brimmed hat, sun-screen (30+) and insect repellent.
For more information please contact the Geelong office on (03) 5221 0300.
