Heritage Gardens Restoration - Greycliffe House and Shark Beach
Join our conservation teams at beautiful Sydney Harbour National Park to undertake valuable works to restore and enhance the formal gardens of the heritage listed Greycliffe House. The gardens rub shoulders with the restored Greycliffe House. This historic sandstone mansion, built in 1852, is one of the best-preserved examples of neo-gothic Victorian architecture in Sydney. Come along for the day to contribute to restoring the gardens through conserving significant plantings and strengthening the theme of the 19th century.
Activities on the day will include some of the following: preparing garden beds, removal of weeds and inappropriate or failing plants, applying topsoil and mulch, conduct plantings.
PICKUP:
8.00am Outside Countrylink terminal entrance, Central Stn near taxi rank.
9.00am Nielsen Park Kiosk in front of Shark Beach. If you are driving, we recommend parking along Greycliffe Avenue.
FINISH:
2.30pm you will depart the project site.
Please wear sturdy boots, long pants, a long sleeve shirt, hat and sunscreen. Bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle.
