The team of volunteers will spend a few days on this private farm property undertaking weed removal activities. The project site is within an ephemeral creek which feeds into Pitt Water of the Pitt Water Orielton Lagoon Ramsar Wetland. This Ramsar site has been distinguished as a significant ecosystem for marine and bird species. Volunteers will be focused on removing invasive weeds from the property including willows and hawthorn, which have a significant impact on the flow and course of a waterway. A great opportunity to get your hands dirty in the outdoors while protecting the environmental health of an important ecosystem.
