Conservation Volunteers are working with the Department of Environment Water and Natural Recourses to help protect significant coastal habitat and the wildlife living there. Get involved today, NEW sites include habitat enhancement at the magnificent Pick Swamp at Piccaninnie Ponds Conservation Park (bring your binoculars) and on Thursday July 20 at Canunda National Park.  This year we have helped revegetate the shores of Lake Bonney, undertaken dune rehabilitation at Nene Valley and marine debris surveys along South East beaches.

This project is part of the Limestone Coast and Coorong Action Plan. The Action Plan’s objective is to enhance the ecological purity and connectivity of coastal habitats in the South East of South Australia against current and future threats including weed and feral animal invasion, habitat fragmentation and the impacts of climate change. The health of these coastal habitats is important for our native plants and animals and for all of us who live and rely on healthy and clean beaches.
