Come along and help Conservation Volunteers Australia clean up the Granard Wetlands this Clean Up Australia Day. Volunteers will be divided into teams and the team that collects the most litter will go home with the champion trophy and bragging rights! There are also plenty of other prizes to also win on the day.
The area we will be working in is a remnant of dry rainforest vegetation in Brisbane’s Oxley Creek catchment. It is a significant area for plant species and wildlife habitat, and forms part of an environmental corridor in the Oxley area. The reserve has been part of an ongoing project for the last decade to restore a functioning ecosystem.
We will also enjoy a BBQ lunch, a nature walk and, of course, a trophy presentation. Sign up now to save your spot and be allocated to a team!
