Across 2015-20 Conservation Volunteers will commemorate the Anzac Centenary, marking 100 years since our involvement in the First World War by creating 100 living memorials across Australia and New Zealand through our Living Memorials programme.
This programme will support locally driven activities that engage the community in commemorative events. The programme aims to support community projects that are linked to our Anzac history.
Living Memorials will deliver 100 commemorative projects at sites across Australia and New Zealand allowing communities to get involved and commemorate the centenary of Anzac.
This week we'll be creating a memorial walkway and natural heritage area that commemorates Birkenhead residents who served in the First World War and never returned.
