The South East Wetland Carers Network is a project set up in partnership with South East Local Land Services, WetlandCare Australia and Conservation Volunteers Australia. Our work will focus on the protection and restoration of wetland environments throughout the Illawarra.
Bellambi Lagoon and Dunes is a hidden gem on the Illawarra coast. Surrounded by suburban area this Wetland complex has many man made influences yet houses a terrific example of a dune system and plays home to a vast array of fauna. We will look to protect areas that house established vegetation, and assist in getting on top of potential future threats.
