AON EMPLOYEES ONLY - Bidjigal Reserve
The Bidjigal Reserve in North West Sydney is a 186 ha bush-land reserve located within the Hills Shire in land traditionally occupied by Aboriginal people of the Darug Language Group.
The Reserve comprises significant stands of bush-land in good condition, with a variety of different ecological communities ranging from sandstone woodland to rainforest communities along the reserves creek-lines.
This range of habitats provides a home for a variety of endangered fauna and flora species - notably the powerful owl, bent-winged bat and the shrub hibbertia superans.
The site is threatened by pollution and invasion by exotic weed species and you will be helping Bidjigal Reserve Trust by removing these weeds and/or planting natives to help re-generate these areas.
